Breaking Bad

I couldn't go to Albuquerque and NOT check out some of the Breaking Bad filming locations! If you're a fan of the show, you get it. If you aren't, that's ok, you can read about the rest of my Albuquerque trip HERE. In each of the pictures below, the top images are screen grabs from the show, and the bottom images are the ones that I took.

My first stop was Hank and Marie's house. It's located at 4901 Cumbre Del Sur Ct NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111 and it is a private residence, so please do not trespass. As you can see, the only thing that looks different is the shrubbery.

The next stop was the John B. Robert Dam, located across the street from the El Oso Grande Park 10600 Osuna Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111. This is where Jesse was waiting to be picked up by "the extractor" in season 5.

After that it was on to The Dirty Bourbon bar which served as Saul Goodman's office at 9800 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.

Right around the corner (literally like 3 minutes away) is Walter White's house at 3828 Piermont Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111. Some of you may be familiar with the stories about the owners of the house and how much they absolutely, positively HATE tourists. As you can see in the picture there is a fence and there are cones all along the curb. Look, just be respectful when you visit. Park down the street and take a picture that way - my picture came out just fine.

Next it was off to the A1A car wash that Walt and Skyler owned, located at 9516 Snow Heights Cir NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. It is still an operating car wash.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to see:

Jesse Pinkman's house: 322 16th St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87104

Lavandería Brillante (Delta Uniform & Linens in real life): 1617 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107

Los Pollos Hermanos (Twisters Burgers & Burritos in real life): 4275 Isleta Blvd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105

Side note:

As I was walking around Old Town Albuquerque I turned the corner and ran into this:

One small moment of confusion/panic/fascination, and then I remembered that the Breaking Bad RV Tours office is located in Old Town. Back to reality. As of this writing their tours are about 3 hours long and cost $80. It's definitely another option if you don't want to go find the locations yourself, or if you don't have a car. I haven't taken the tour so I can't speak to it, but they seem to have very positive reviews on Tripadvisor.
